Halloween 2008

The weeks leading up to Halloween were a lot of fun. From going to the pumpkin patch with Owen and his cousins (Mitch, Brady, Colin), to a Gymboree party, to decorating, and dressing up - we had a blast. Mark and Connie came into town too, so Owen having his Grandma and Grandpa Birnbaum there added to the excitement. We carved pumpkins the night before Halloween thinking Owen would be into helping...nope. He really wasn't interested in getting his hands gooey with the pumpkin gunk. It was "no - Gramma do, Gramma do" the whole time!

Trick-or-Treating was great! Tanya, Dale and the kids came over for pizza then we headed out to the neighborhood. We are very fortunate to live in a wonderful community with a ton of kids. I think we had about 100 kids come to the door! Owen was a natural at trick-or-treating. The first few homes he wanted one of us with him and then watch out... "Owen do-it, Owen do-it"...Mr. Independent kicked in! I think having his big cousins Mitch and Brady there had something to do with it!
