Trip to Alaska
We just returned from a fabulous week in Juneau. It was a much needed break and we were able to not only rest and relax but have a lot of fun too! Owen went to the beach almost daily and he caught his first fish! A tiny "double-ugly" but at least it was something. We were receiving just over 18 hours of daylight so Steve went fly fishing almost nightly until 11 p.m. at Sheep Creek, just down from our house. He and my dad also spent a full day out on the boat with a family friend fishing for King and Halibut. They didn't have any luck so they took the skiff to shore and did some fly fishing where they did have luck! Owen LOVED spending time at Great Grandma and Grandpa Sperl's house and asked to go there more then anything else! We were able to go to a movie, hang out with friends, have play dates for Owen, and we even slept in (kind of). Looking forward to next year and hopefully we can extend our trip by a few additional days. Owen will probably be fly fishing right along next to his daddy then! Enjoy all the photos!
